June 18 - Perfection

Above all these things, I will put on love, which is the bond of perfection.   Colossians 3:14

Dating back 130 years, there have only been 20 perfect games thrown by pitchers in Major League Baseball.  Yet, in this young season, there have already been two and one more that a referee's blown call ruined at the last minute.

Perfection.  Rarely attained at any level in anything.

Yet in God's economy, there is perfection.  It is called love.

And it is more important than any so-called perfection attained in any other facet of life.

Why do you think love is such a critical issue in all of humanity?  Why is it such a critical issue for you?

  1. Love is such a critical issue because of the love that God has for us and communicated to us through his Word and his Son, Jesus Christ. Plus, love supersedes everything else we do on this earth. It's a critical issue for me because it helps me deterimine whether my love for God first, others second, and myself last are genuine or is it just for a show.
