Control.
Our lives ultimately come down to control. It is the thread that runs through everything we do.
Our pride causes us to pursue and demand our way at times in our lives when we should be surrendering control instead of trying to claim it.
And the tough thing is that when we try to grab control, it will eventually lead us into conflict. We'll fight with family, co-workers, neighbors or total strangers to try to gain and keep control of things.
But the biggest conflict by far we'll run into when we try to claim control is with our Creator.
If we don't trust Him with control, we will never be satisfied.
And that is a lonely, harsh place to be.

This text inspires me by giving EVERYTHING to God and learning to trust him no matter what. It is one thing to say that you love the LORD and trust him; however, it is another to actually do what the Word says. Stirring up dissension is never a good thing. Trusting in the LORD and prospering, not necessarily monetary wise, but in other areas, is a good deal.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with this scripture. There is nothing like the peace of allowing God to have complete control. It's hard to get there sometimes. Hard to let go. But when you do, the world cannot harm you. And God rejoices in put obedience and surrender!
