I'm getting some possibly some life defining answers to questions that I have when it comes to doing the right thing and what God has in store with me. I want wisdom to save me from the enticements of the world. I want to be obedient to God and inherit his promises.
What is so glaring here to me is that this is not a "happen upon a nugget of wisdom" type deal. This is a MINING operation. This is a call to dig deep, to camp out in these words. The verbs in verses 3 and 4 are not easy verbs: "If you CALL out for insight, and CRY aloud for understanding, and if you LOOK for it as for silver and SEARCH for it as for hidden treasure, THEN you will UNDERSTAND the fear of the Lord and FIND the knowledge of God. and vs. 10 - Wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
